Acrostic poem

I am learning how to write an acrostic poem.  I know that I start each sentence with a letter of the subject.  I wrote about myself.   

"My poem looks amazing! I sounded out the words. I robot out words." Abbie

Bird pillow

For our Art Exhibition this year we learnt how to sketch a bird.  The final drawing was transferred onto calico and dye was added.  The bird was glued onto a pillow that Mrs Scott and Mrs Worsfold had sewn.  Don't they look great!

Abbie said, " I have to remember to put in the full stops and I can do good capital letters now. Most of the time I can."

I am learning my teen numbers

I am learning to count and write numerals to 20.  I am learning to say the number before and after. I am also learning to write the teen numbers correctly.

" I can count up to 20 and I know what the numbers are."  said Abbie

I am learning to sound out 3 letter words.

I am learning to say the first, middle and last sound in a word and then blend the sounds together to write the word.  This can help me in my reading and my writing.

"I can sound out 3 letter words if I am stuck with a word.  I can robot the word too." said Abbie

I am sharing my learning

Mrs Worsfold said, "What a great job you did as the 'teacher' at the student lead conferences. You have really showed resilience with your learning."

We are learning to copy a rhythm.

We had a fun music lesson and we learned to clap the rhythm of our names and copy patterns.

Abbie said, "Mrs D gave me a certificate for trying hard."
